Live Champions Trophy 2017: India wins toss; elects to bowl


It is India's fourth Champions Trophy final and Pakistan's first.

India will look to win its third Champions Trophy title when it plays Pakistan in Sunday's final at the Oval. Recent history and form at the big events suggested Kohli's men start favourites.

Pakistan has had the better of the rivalry overall, with a 72-52 head-to-head record. But the momentum has swung towards India of late.

Sarfraz Ahmed said "We would also have bowled first. I am proud of my boys. Amir is fine and is fit to play in the finals."

Virat Kohli and Sarfraz Ahmed are ready for the toss. David Boon is the match referee. India won the toss and elected to bowl first. "We are used to this before. It's a good wicket and will be good throughout the match, " Indian captain Virat Kohli said. No change in the Indian team.

All set for the toss for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 finals. Interesting finals on the cards....  Average first innings score in the last six games at The Oval is 267.
